Historic Legends of Jazz Film Festival with Josh Walker & Ross LeCompte

A weekend of Jazz continues with films and excerpts from films of Historic Legends of Jazz, playing with their own groups in concert form. These artists will include groups of Louis Armstrong through Charlie Mingus, Chet Baker and Dave Brubeck.

Josh Walker will present a guitar clinic focusing on expanding chord substitutions and using knowlege of jazz to compose " riffs " and songs.

Ross LeCompte will conduct a clinic focusing on jazz singing which includes phrasing and presentation. LeCompte will also address needs of brass players in jazz including building range and technique. This clinic will be of great benefit for beginner to advanced players.

Michael Hawkins will present a technique workshop for bassist.

Time: 11am - 3pm
